Janet Amico Forgione is a certified paralegal who specializes in estate planning and estate administration. She has been deeply immersed in this area of practice since receiving her certification from Queens College in 1989. Janet’s original training was with the highly regarded Robert A. Wilkie, Esq. She joined us full time in 1995.

Janet has incomparable experience in all areas of probate, estate and trust administration, supervising a staff of two additional paralegals. Coordinating with her paralegal staff and the attorneys, she has responsibility for the preparation of all drafts of estate and gift tax returns. She is particularly proud of her ability to navigate around the shoals of the Generation Skipping Tax. Her input is crucial to the development of the post mortem income tax planning and implementation, and we are particularly proud of our capabilities and results in this area.

Janet directly produces the documentation necessary for the establishment and ongoing maintenance of the varied business entities which our clients possess.

Janet also has extensive experience in Surrogate Court practice. She assists the attorney in all additional facets of the administration of estates including client interviews, preparation of probate, guardianship, accounting and other court documents, marshalling and valuation of assets, preparation of informal accountings, and distribution of assets. Janet’s experience and know how is matched by her ability to build pleasant and effective working relationships with our clients and all of the vendors on which we rely to serve them. She is a sympathetic and expert source of support to bereaved families, and her assistance has been tremendously appreciated by every client whom she has served.
